Colonel (Ret.) Thomas (Tom) Goldner retired from the Army in 2021 after serving a total of thirty-six years in the Army Reserves and on active duty, both as an infantry soldier. His last three assignments in uniform were with the 75th Ranger Regiment as the Deputy Commanding Officer – Support, Director for the Training and Doctrine Command Capability Manager Opposing Forces, and Director for the Irregular Warfare Force Modernization Proponent. Since March 2022, Tom continues to serve the Army as an Army Command and General Staff College instructor in the Department of Distance Education; his students are primarily Army Reserve and National Guard officers. Tom is continuing his education with Kansas State University, Adult Education and Leadership Master’s program and resides in Manhattan, KS with his wife Julie.
